An internationally-known speaker and author, Dr. John Perkins has been recognized for decades as one of the great African-American leaders of our time, a man who founded several successful ministries and who has profoundly influenced American evangelicalism, Christian community development, and racial healing. His unceasing vision for Christian unity across the cultures has inspired and directed countless men, women and children to pursue this ardently.

He is the founder of Mendenhall Ministries, Voice of Calvary Ministries and co-founder of the Christian Community Development Association. Today he directs the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation for Reconciliation and Development in Jackson, Mississippi.


Dr. Perkins is the author of many books, including Let Justice Roll Down, named by Christianity Today as one of the top 50 books that have shaped evangelical Christians, With Justice for All, He’s My Brother, Dream with Me and his most recent book, One Blood. He has been awarded honorary doctorate degrees from 16 colleges and universities, including Belhaven University, Covenant College, Geneva College, Huntington University, Nyack College, Taylor University, and Wheaton College.
